Description

“Mayadari Musalidi”, originally published in Chandamama magazine, is an engaging tale set in the grand city of Baghdad during the reign of Caliph Harun al-Rashid.

The story revolves around Dilaila, a cunning and intelligent woman, and her equally sharp-witted daughter Zainab. After her husband’s demise, Dilaila, once the wife of a royal messenger, finds herself neglected by the Caliph’s court. Enraged by the injustice, she sets out to prove that trickery and deceit are more valuable than brute strength.

With a series of ingenious schemes, Dilaila and Zainab outwit powerful officials, thieves, and even the city’s law enforcers. Their escapades lead to humorous and thrilling encounters, ultimately bringing them face-to-face with the Caliph himself.

A tale of wit, deception, and survival, “Iddaru Mosagattelu” showcases the cleverness of two women navigating a world dominated by men. The story is filled with humor, adventure, and unexpected twists, making it a timeless classic.
